Evan Kleiman is the longtime host of Good Food on KCRW. The chef, cookbook author and former restaurateur has spent decades immersed in food culture. The show explores how food intersects with human life. It’s a kaleidoscope of voices and stories that reveal the interconnection of policy and politics with agriculture, ecology and the simply delicious dishes that sit on our plates. Evan has been called the fairy godmother of the LA food scene for her central role in bringing a community of food people together. For many, she is the Queen of Pie, presiding over the station's annual pie contest that attracts thousands of the best bakers and curious eaters in Southern California.
