A sculptural centerpiece bowl in the Sommerso tradition — Italian for "submerged" — where layers of colored glass are fused within clear crystal to create depth and glow. A soft amethyst-pink rim gives way through clear glass to a pale aqua-blue base, the colors appearing to float suspended within the glass itself.
The elongated, pulled-wing silhouette is classic mid-century Murano — organic, asymmetrical, and clearly hand-formed. Substantial in scale and weight, it reads as much as glass sculpture as it does a functional bowl — and it's earned its keep in front of the camera, having been used on numerous photo shoots for Flamingo Estate, styled as a soap dish.
