I am a person who buys very little and looks into details before buying a product, no matter how gorgeous the story may be. Last year I purchased two pink body lotions after hearing about Flamingo Estate for years. Those two bottles lasted me 10 months! I apply lotion onto my whole body after showering, so this amount of time genuinely impressed me enough to invest in the Clary Sage & Ionian Bergamot style.
What I noticed about the lotion is that the texture is thick and smooth; one pump goes a long way. The smell is incredible in a steamy room fresh out of the shower and becomes subtle once I am out into the world. Only through hugs and intimate touches do the details of the lotion reach others. The scent stacks well with my hair muse and oils, only ever blending well with other products.
My skin has never been in a better place, using only bar soap and a face oil aside from this lotion. Whether dead of winter in Detroit or peak of summer in Joshua Tree, my skin is comfortable. I live modestly and put the majority of money back into my future, but I've come to learn that my skin is my largest organ and needs the same investment as my physical home. So, while I understand the price point may seem daunting, this is the first "high-end" lotion that I have ever purchased and genuinely loved. I feel safe using it so often and still smile at how long one bottle lasts.
