The Three Sisters Candle Set

Sage's botanical name comes from the Latin word "salvere", which means, "to be saved." Sage is our savior, its scent, our origin story. There are over 900 species of Sage worldwide, with 19 of them having their origins in California. Among these native species are Hummingbird Sage, Pitcher Sage, Black Sage, Purple Sage, and White Sage — all currently growing wild at the Estate. The abundance of Sage in the Garden inspired the aroma of this Candle. It’s deeply cleansing and camphorous, softened by a hint of sweetness.

Candle Care

When burning your candle for the first time, allow it to burn for 2 to 3 hours, until the top layer of the wax has completely melted. This will prevent the wax from tunneling around the wick. When burning the candle after the first burn, do not let it burn for over 3 hours at a time.

Ideally, we recommend keeping the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to prevent the candle from emitting smoke or the wick falling into the wax.

After each burn, see that the wick is centered in the wax. This will also ensure that the glass does not overheat. The wick and flame should never be touching the glass. When approaching the end of the candle, leave ¼ inch of wax unburned and ensure you are not burning the candle for more than 3 hours. The glass can get overheated without the presence of wax and break.

I fell in love with this candle after purchasing the Three Sisters Votive Box. So much so that I purchased a full sized candle. I may like this one more than both the heirloom tomato and the rosemary for the Winter or Fall season. Controversial I know!

If you’re concerned the price is high, you’re right it is. But I only buy this one candle each month. It fills my high ceilings with fragrance and is its own unique scent that smells unlike anything else!
