Chef Evan Funke is a native Angeleno, two-time James Beard-nominated chef, and master of the old world techniques of handmade pasta. His Michelin-recognized restaurants — Mother Wolf, Felix, and Funke — are among the best in our city and the world.Â
This month, he comes to us with his expertise of California seasonal produce to curate our Farm Boxes. Hand-selecting the freshest fruits and veggies from local farms he knows and loves, pairing it with his own trusted recipes, and offering delicious treats straight from his kitchen each week.Â
Considering he’s known as one of the best pasta makers in the country (as seen on his Chef’s Table episode), in each Farm Box you can expect a marriage of Italian classics with Californian staples. Think Tomatoes, Figs, Pistachios, Garlic… grown in a land of microseasons, rich terroir, and abundance year-round.
The best part? Any leftover produce from the collaboration will be donated to Meals on Wheels: an incredible organization delivering nutritious meals to seniors.
