Ingredients
Avocados (ripe Hass) 2
Lime juice (fresh) 2 tablespoons (from about 2 regular limes or 4 Key limes)
Serrano pepper (small, thinly sliced) 1
Cilantro leaves or fronds A few leaves, plus more for garnish
Basil leaves (small) A few leaves, plus more for garnish
Mint leaves A few leaves, plus more for garnish
Extra-virgin olive oil 1 teaspoon
Flaky salt ½ teaspoon, plus more to taste
Tostadas or tortilla chips For serving
Steps
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Add the lime juice, serrano, olive oil and salt. Be generous with the lime, you want it tangy.
- Gently mix everything together, leaving the avocado a little chunky.
- Fold in the cilantro, basil and mint leaves and mix briefly so they get coated in guacamole.
- Taste and add more lime juice or salt as needed.
- Finish with another little handful of herbs, a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of good salt.
