As we shift into the portal of spring, a time of awakening for the seeds we
planted in fall, These herbs will begin to send sparks into our solar plexus, signaling that the time is coming for our dreams to rise from their slumber and to begin making the journey to the surface. This recipe calls on 3 powerhouse antioxidants to enliven our souls as we begin to rise from the winter. Schizandra powder is a super food, adaptogenic berry that contains the flavors of all five elements that create the basis for Traditional Chinese Medicine. A rich in antioxidants berry that is known to “calm the heart and quiet the spirit”. The goji berry has become well known for its antioxidant properties as it tops many açaí bowls across the land. This berry, when taken consistently, can also increase energy levels and awaken your body into feeling more able and refreshed. Our last antioxidant powder house is the hibiscus flower. This magnificent plant is not only a powerhouse ally for the cardiovascular system, she also is an ally for our metabolism and liver function. Slather this mystical spread on toast, use it to top your smoothies and eat it by the spoonful!

Ingredients

  • 2 1⁄2 cups raw cashews
  • 3 tbsp Schizandra powder
  • 4 tbsp goji berry powder
  • 4 tbsp hibiscus powder
  • Himalayan pink sea salt

Steps

  • Place the cashews in the bowl of a food processor.
  • Process for 10 minutes. You will need to stop several times to scrape down the sides of the processor.
  • The cashew mixture will begin to look liquid. This is exactly how it should look! Add the Schizandra, goji, hibiscus and a pink of salt. Pulse until well combined.
  • Transfer to a jar and allow to cool fully before refrigerating.
  • Enjoy!
